Kingston Volunteer Centre is rebranding

Kingston Volunteer Centre (KVC) announced at the AGM of Kingston Voluntary Action on 30 November it will be changing its name to Go Kingston Volunteering..

In rebranding, KVC will not only be leading on volunteering and  helping to bring the Cultural Olympiad alive in Kingston, it will be challenging tradition, identifing its strengths and weaknesses, and seeking to put in place a service reflective of customer and volunteer expectation in 2012 and beyond.

Go Kingston Volunteering (GKV) exists to promote and develop volunteering throughout the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

More and more organisations are dependent on volunteers, and managing them and getting the best out of them is an essential skill.  As part of the good practice project we are running workshops on Interviewing & inducting volunteers, managing conflict & problems with volunteers and volunteers and the law.
