OUR PROJECTS / People Count Project

“Helping your local community through volunteering”

KVC is working in Partnership with the Royal Borough of Kingston in an exciting new project to increase the number of volunteers within the Borough, to help make our Borough a better place to live.

The “People Count” project is also about valuing and recognising the contribution that volunteers make to our local community. We are awarding certificates of achievement to volunteers who contribute 100hrs of volunteering over a 12 month period. This year's awards ceremony is taking place at the Guildhall on 7 th June 2007 and the Mayor will be presenting the certificates.

How can I get involved?

If you would like to get involved in this project and find out about the benefits of volunteering then give us a call on 0208 255 8685. If you have been volunteering since 1 April 2006 and have completed 100 hours in a year, then we would like to hear from you.
